March 20, 2010, Khairo Dero: Ali Hasan Mangi Memorial Trust hosted the first ever party for children in our project village of Khairo Dero, district Larkana, Pakistan, on March 20, 2010. All the 1,200 children of the village were invited to attend and a huge tent was put up at the venue. The children were very excited to see their first ever magic show and watch performances by jugglers, clowns and a man on stilts. Several children performed little plays, recited poems and made short speeches. They also played on giant slides and jumping castles, ate icecream, candy floss and cake for the first time and received shoes, school bags and gifts such as teddy bears, balls, hair accessories, wallets, pencil cases and keychains. As always, we thank our donors, supporters and friends for making the event so much fun for the children.
